Woodside

 

One of the most desirable addresses on the Peninsula, Woodside is located just north of Silicon Valley. Included among the wealthiest communities in the country, Woodside is within close proximity to Stanford University, Sand Hill Road, and tech giants Apple, Google, and Facebook. With its large lots and estates, Woodside is known for its rustic and peaceful charm, where horses are a part of local culture. The town is home to a number of open space preserves, including the Purisima Open Space, and is a popular destination for cyclists.

Woodside's intentionally small business district includes a few restaurants; a grocery store; a saloon; a hardware and horse tack store; a home and garden store; and a handful of other businesses. Town restaurants include the Michelin-starred Village Pub, the Firehouse Bistro, and Buck's of Woodside, known among Silicon Valley entrepreneurs as the location where many VC investment deals have been signed.
